EWWWW.... GROSS....
I got a call from Scott right as I was walking out from work on Friday.  He told me he was at the ER.  He wouldn't tell me anything but that his blood pressure and pulse were fine.  Then he told me he needed a few stitches on his thumb.  But he wouldn't tell me what had happened.  When I get there, Scott has a washcloth over his thumb and he pulls it away and out of sight.  So naturally, my mind thinks he's completely severed his thumb.  Come to find out he was cutting some Pergo to finish out floor (it's GORGEOUS by the way- the floor that is)  and he felt his arm jerk and looked down to see his thumb bleeding.  So he very calmly goes and gets a washcloth to apply pressure and calls his friend at work to find and ER by our house that takes our insurance.  He then drives himself to the ER and impresses everyone with his calm manner and low blood pressure (120/80) and pulse (66). ( The Doctor put some neat gelatin packs on the wound to help stop the bleeding which is helping to make the thumb look more rounded than it is.)  They then called him Hercules (or something like that).  They go on to fall more in love with him when he refuses painkillers because it doesn't hurt THAT  bad and Motrin will be just fine.  (I think we all know that if it were me, I would have said, 'Is Vicodin the BEST you can do?!')  All in all, he's doing fine.  He had one bad night but slept better last night and was able to pose happily for this pic:

I banned him from power tools for a week.  We'll see if he actually stays away that long.  'The Guys' at RC Willey wrote him up for his 'incident'.  I think that's punishment enough.  I'll post more pics as it heals.

Drumroll please...
Here it is!  My first post!  Thank you, thank you.  It only took me a couple of weeks (and a friend to take pity and show me how) to post this.  If anyone could have used a Blogging For Dummies book, it was me.  But the book probably would have just confused me even more.  Well, I figured since it took me so long to do it in the first place (and who knows if I'll remember how to do this tomorrow and I'm not sure when I'll have the patience to do this again) I thought I'd just go ahead and post some of my favorite pics from the last 2 years.  There are pics of friends and family and a few of our new dog.  Also one of Scott's latest project and few of the gorgeous Lake Tahoe.  Enjoy!
